Entergy Corporation is an integrated energy company engaged primarily in electric power production and retail distribution operations. Meeting the Challenge was the theme for the Annual and Sustainability Reports. Entergy’s message to shareholders was about being prepared with resources, including long-term aspirations, a point-of-view-driven business model, and experienced employees, that need to meet the challenges that lie ahead. The One and Only. Collaborating with copywriter Bill Baldwin, we based the concept and layout on the Cantoni brand. Several full-page and double-truck ads were placed in regional and major home-design publications. Cantoni is now recognized as one of the nation’s leaders in modern furnishings and interior design with six locations across the U.S.

Change Starts Within: The Jobi Center for Counseling gives individuals, families, and couples the help they need to overcome the obstacles that prevent them from reaching their full potential. Jobi was in need of a new design to keep with the current graphic standards within their industry. The challenge was to look trustworthy and professional yet friendly and approachable.

Every four years Neenah Paper host a wine label competition for designers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The Clampitt Family Vintage Moondance Cellars Reds was the champion for the year 2012. The “Dog-eared” label took a second-place cash prize. The label had an actual dog-eared edge that was red on the reverse side. This gave a sense of dimension with a simple and crisp layout.

Capturing the spirit of Ernest Hemingway, Boyt Harness Company aspired to create and develop a premium clothing line for an adventurous and well-traveled clientele. These were the beginning stages of logo and brand development after the initial creative brief.

Westwood Holdings Group, Inc. provides investment management services to institutional investors, private wealth clients, and financial intermediaries. This annual report focused on Westwood’s expansion – globally, in investment strategies, and in assets under management. The theme is based on an “active strategy” in investing where it counts. Typographic branding is the core method of delivery for each business unit.

Fleming’s Produce Procurement Department needed a capabilities brochure to reach a nationwide market. The concept for this design was driven by a “seed to flower” aesthetic, showcasing quality control from farmer to end-customer, appropriately titled Simply the Finest. A custom-mix varnish was used throughout the entire brochure to reflect elegance and second-to-none quality.

Beauty in Motion was the theme to tell the story of Sally’s proactive strategy for future growth. Making the claim, as the ‘Hair Color Experts’ for both the professional stylist and DIY consumer. Other strategies included investments in new technology and improving the customer experience in-store and online.

The pHaverfield Collection by photographer Pat Haverfield is an exploration in art and design all derived from hand-crafted crystalline forms. No two forms are ever the same and applications for this new art form include both gallery art and surface design for textiles and home décor. I designed the pHaverfield Collection’s logo, website, exhibit banners, posters, and promotional mailers.

Homestyle Classics was the name chosen for the logo and POP materials. This was a multi-phase project, starting with naming the theme and logo for the overall POP. The project included prop search, art directing photography, designing a four-panel menu planner, and shelf-talker.

Westwood Trust integrates a values-based process with leading-edge investment solutions for families and individuals, endowments, foundations, and nonprofits, including corporate and public retirement plans for more than 30 years. “Let’s Start a Conversation,” was an existing catchphrase that was used to create a call to action. The way to generate that conversation was the challenge. A beautifully crafted four-color brochure was the answer.

Petco is a chain of retail stores that offers pet supplies and services such as grooming and dog training. I used a boxer-breed dog, that we named “Max,” as the so-called spokesperson on all materials. Mercer needed help launching a new HR campaign for AEP: I developed the name “Portraits of Choice” and created the mood board to win the project. Forward to the Next Generation was the debut CD for the Tulsa-based reggae band Local Hero. The CD was released to launch their regional tour which was on time and on budget. The Local Hero logo design kicked off the initial project, which led to the design of the CD cover before the tour dates were scheduled.
